Trevor Hanaway (c. 1970 - January 7, 2011) was a supporting protagonist who appeared in the 2011 film Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. He was an operative of the Impossible Mission Force and the love interest of Jane Carter.

Biography[]

Trevor Hanaway was the partner of Jane Carter and operated under her team leadership while on an assignment to retrieve the Russian nuclear launch codes in Budapest, Hungary. After recovering the codes from a man named Marek Stefanski, Hanaway escaped his pursuers and while walking in an alley, he crossed the road of French assassin Sabine Moreau. His phone performed a facial recognition of the latter but it was too late because she shot him 5 times in order to escape with the codes. Trevor lived just enough time for Jane to find him but the agent succumbed to his injuries.

Hanaway's death at the hands of Moreau later served as a motivating factor for Jane in seeking revenge against her. She later killed Moreau by kicking her out of a window of the Burj Khalifa.

As a IMF agent, Trevor was able to instantly adapt to the situation. He was highly skilled in firearms and was able to quickly flee the scene before he was ambushed and shot by Sabine Moreau.
