Sean Ambrose was the main antagonist in the 2000 film Mission: Impossible II. He was a double agent within the IMF, working only for his own nefarious purposes. Ambrose's main plan was to blackmail the CEO of a pharmaceutical corporation known as Biocyte into making him the primary shareholder, lest he unleash the very virus created by the company in Australia, killing millions of innocent lives. He was played by actor Dougray Scott. He was later shot by Hunt.
